Owned and operated by the friendly faces of creative services agency The Jacky Winter Group, Lamington Drive was established in August 2008 as a gallery.
The gallery exists to simultaneously explore the awkward idea of having commercial art in a gallery space, and as a venue in which illustrators, cartoonists, photographers and designers can explore this same art/commercial art tension in their practices.
Following its original location in Fitzroy and it’s second incarnation at The Compound Interest in Collingwood, the gallery has found its new and permanent home at the ground floor of Jacky Winter HQ, located at 101a Sackville Street, Collingwood.
Reopening from March 7, 2014, The Gallery is open for viewing Wednesday through Friday, from 11am until 6pm, and Saturdays from Midday until 5pm. All other times are by appointment. Opening nights are usually Thursdays from 6-9pm and always include lamingtons, refreshing beverages, and good conversation.
